Following an MBA in Spain, I joined a large wine business in the region of Aragon as a sales & marketing director. My objective was to help turn things around in terms of its markets, profitability and image.
Capitalising on my interests in nature and sustainability, I initiated projects in these areas. In terms of nature it was about giving a sense of value to the region’s flora and fauna, mountain landscapes and vineyard properties. This included developing a new website to showcase the natural environment and local community, as well as launching nature-inspired brands. With the winemakers, viticulturalists and cooperative members, we began an organic wine project and ecological practices within the vineyards. Related to climate change, I pushed for the use of lighter bottles and the installation of solar panels. I also had a chance to see work related to quality control and environmental regulation.
