Nature conservation & ecotourism in Brazil, 2020-

Following my six years as a travel writer for Google, in 2020 I turned my attention to starting up an ecotourism and nature conservation project in Brazil.

Living in the Atlantic Rainforest near Rio de Janeiro, I transformed my home into a place where guests could come to enjoy nature, adventure and tranquility. Within the Três Picos State Park, highlights include neotropical flora and fauna, mountain rivers and hiking trails.

Ecotourism generates revenues to cover running costs, and this small nature-based business also helps the local community through employment and sale of artisan products. This project has been set up to keep going in the long run, and is one which focuses on nature conservation, environmental education and sustainability.

For those interested in visiting, further information can be found on my Instagram page and AirBnb.
